Registering for Shows

STEP 1

NYT Online Account Registration

(Skip to STEP 2, if you have completed this previously)

  1. Go to nationalyouththeater.org
  2. Upper left corner, click on “Sign in”
  3. Choose “Click Here to Create an Account”
  4. Enter your email account (twice), select “Next”
  5. DO NOT choose a Business Account category
    1. DO “Click here to register as an individual or family”
  6. Fill in all the pertinent information
    1. Click on “Create Account”

Your family is now registered, but not your cast member!  For your child to get credit for sales within the system, you must continue on with the following instructions!  The student name will also not show up for bio or ads unless you complete this step!

STEP 2 (Necessary Step!)

Adding a student or cast member to the family account

(Skip to STEP 3, if you have completed this previously)

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Choose “Add a Person”
  3. Fill out all pertinent information
    1. Be sure to make your child “secondary” or “neither” for contact, unless you want them to receive information ahead of you. Most students are “secondary”, with the “primary” contact being the parent
    2. This is where you will enter and update the bio information for the Playbill. Your production manager will let you know the deadline for this
    3. Choose “Save Information”

Now your cast member is registered!  Please be sure to have family and friends choose your child’s name from appropriate website field when ordering tickets or placing ads.  Every ticket sold is good for 1 credit.  Every $10 in ad sales is worth 1 credit.  Credits will help your cast member earn their way to the Director’s Party sometime after the show is over.  Credits may also be used to offset the expense of future classes, shows, and camps (1 credit = $1).
