Join director Justin Ray and the rest of the team as you learn the musical Hairspray. It is an inspirational message of equality, as characters dance their way onto a TV show inspiring a civil rights movement in 1960s Baltimore with an inspiring message of equality.
But NYT Teen Camp is much more than putting on a fabulous show at the end of the week for family and friends – even though you will do that! During camp you will spend time in worship and devotion, as well as hearing moving testimonies. You will also have fun with friends, while making new ones. There will be indoor and outdoor games, as well as laid back activities and free time. Some years we have had special guest speakers come and share their testimonies. Each year we find fun things to fill our time based on what is available and what God has in store for us. We will have our traditional themed dance night, this year 60s style (be on the lookout for an inexpensive, fun outfit to wear).
Teen Camp is returning to Wildwood United Methodist Church located at 8911 FM 1488 in Magnolia, TX. You will find more information about this wonderful facility HERE. Boys and girls will sleep in separate “dorms” (classrooms) with their individual dorm counselors. The boys’ and girls’ dorms will be in separate wings of the church. Campers should plan on bringing air mattresses and sleeping bags.

“Please note: The directing team will not be making any artistic choices that require cross-dressing or using makeup to create ethnic changes.”
*If we are able to find affordable portable shower facilities, we may open the camp up to more campers.
