From musical theatre greats, Stephen Schwartz and John Caird, comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith… not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! An expansive musical, Children of Eden JR. has plenty of roles and life lessons for everyone.
In this fictional account, rooted in the Bible, Adam, Eve, Noah, and the God who created them, deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. As generations pass, faith and loyalty are tested, but the bonds of family and love remain strong.

What Is 24 Hour Musical??
What is a 24 Hour Musical, you ask? It is a crazy idea to produce, cast, and put on a Broadway-style theater musical in only 24 hours! How can this possibly be done, you ask? Students (ages 8 to 19) show up for 6 hours on Saturday #1 for a fun, informal audition, and then they begin rehearsals. The kids return for another 3 consecutive Saturdays of 6 hours each, for a total of 24 hours. On the last Saturday, the public is invited to see the show.
Participating in 24 Hour Musical is a challenging, fast-paced, fun process. No audition prep is necessary, other than listening to and becoming familiar with the songs from the show (iTunes, Amazon, etc.) before the 1st day. We do not require parent volunteer hours, as we do with our regular Broadway-style shows. However, we still do need a few parents to help out, so if your are interested, please let Emily Amos, our 24HM coordinator, know.
Our version of 24 Hour Musical also adds another twist. This is also a National Youth Theater fundraiser. Our goal is to not only raise money, but to also teach the kids in our program that their God-given gifts and talents are to be used for God’s glory and to serve His people. Cast and their families will be invited to participate in a contest to win exclusive prizes as they help raise funds for NYT. By collecting donations, you are securing National Youth Theater’s ability to cover operating expenses, provide scholarships, purchase theatrical equipment, and be sustainable for years to come.
